Key Club raises money for veterans charity

In honor of Veterans Day, Key Club members at Gloversville High School raised money to help send care packages to veterans and service members.

Prior to the holiday, GHS students were able to purchase small U.S. flags from the Key Club. Students dedicated those flags to family members and friends who served. On Thursday, Nov. 10, Key Club members displayed the flags by the flagpole near the school's main entrance.

Through the fundraiser, the club was able to raise $206, which will be given to Operation Gratitude, an organization which sends care packages to veterans and active military members.

Next month, the Key Club is also preparing to send letters and cards to GHS alumni in the military.
