GHS students write 1,000 holiday cards for service members overseas

Gloversville High School students this season have been writing greeting cards to help brighten the holidays for U.S. service members overseas.

GHS Key Club members and students taking 11th and 12th grade English worked on the project together and recently finished writing 1,000 cards for service members. The GHS National Honor Society also reached out to those in the military this season specifically writing to GHS alumni currently in the service.

The GHS correspondence will be delivered in time for the holidays by Operation Gratitude, a volunteer-based organization that sends letters and care package to deployed troops.
