Information nights set for elementary schools
Information nights for elementary students and their families to familiarize themselves with their new schools have been planned over the next few weeks. These sessions will allow an opportunity to meet key personnel, tour the buildings and ask questions about the upcoming reconfiguration of the district's schools.
The reconfiguration of the Gloversville Enlarged School District that will be put in place for the 2017-18 school year will see all third-, fourth- and fifth-graders atending Boulevard Elementary School. Pre-kindergarten through second-graders will attend either Park Terrace Elementary School or Kingsborough Elementary School, depending on which attendance zone you live in. The Meco and McNab school buildings are being repurposed.
The upcoming sessions are as follows:
Boulevard Elementary — Incoming fourth-graders and their families, 6 p.m., Monday, May 1; and incoming fifth-graders and their families, 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 3. An information night at Boulevard for incoming third-graders took place earlier this month, but those who were unable to attend are invited to attend either of the other two sessions. Please note that if you cannot attend the session that corresponds with your grade level, you are more than welcome to attend one of the other sessions.
Park Terrace Elementary — 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 25.
Kingsborough Elementary — 6 p.m. Monday, May 8.
