Four candidates running for three Board of Education seats

Gloversville Enlarged School District residents will vote for three school board candidates when they go to the polls for the annual budget vote and board elections Tuesday, May 16.

The GESD Board of Education consists of nine members who are elected by district residents. Each member serves an unpaid, three-year term. The board is responsible for establishing policies and regulations governing public education in the district.

This year, there are four candidates running for the three open seats.The candidates, in the order they will appear on the ballot are:

  • — Richard Carlson (incumbent)
    — Sharon P. Poling
    — John Lott
    — Paula Brown-Weinstock (incumbent)

Polls will be open 11 a.m.-8 p.m. in the Gloversville High School gymnasium and at Bleecker Town Hall. Voting information is available at the district website, here.
