Boulevard students learn flag etiquette through new Honor Guard

This November, fourth-graders at Boulevard Elementary School will be the first students to serve in the school’s new Honor Guard.

Each grade 4 class will be assigned the responsibility of raising the flag each morning and retiring the flag at the end of each school day; for a portion of the school year.

Students were taught flag etiquette and folding by local Cub Scout and Girl Scout leaders (Greg Satterlee, James Ryan and April Meyer) and their scout volunteers. Boulevard custodian Pete Anagnostopulos accompanies students to perform their duties each day.
