School tax payments accepted by mail or online only

School tax payments can no longer be made in person at the Gloversville Enlarged School District business office. Payments must be mailed to the district or paid online.

The district offers the following two options for paying school taxes:

Pay by Mail

Checks should be made payable to the Gloversville Enlarged School District (GESD). Mail check or money order, along with the appropriate bill stub to:

Treasurer
Gloversville School District
PO Box 1276
Gloversville, NY 12078

A pre-addressed return envelope will be included in school tax bills for convenience.

Online Payments

Property owners can pay their school taxes online using a credit card, or by e-check. (Online payment service opens Sept. 1). Click here to pay your school taxes online

School property tax rates are set in August for the upcoming school year. Tax rates are based on the total tax levy in the voter approved school budget, the state-determined equalization rates, and assessment rolls for each town. View your school tax bill online

School tax bills will be mailed Aug. 31. For additional information, please contact the Business Office at (518) 775-5794, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Payment Deadlines

School property taxes are due Oct. 31 each year. School taxes will be collected without penalty from Sept. 1 to Oct. 1. A 2 percent penalty will be added to payments received from Oct. 2-31. No payments are accepted after Oct. 31. Any amounts unpaid at that time will be turned over to the appropriate county.
