Elementary nurse arrested following allegation of sexual abuse

The Gloversville Enlarged School District has been informed by the Gloversville Police Department that an elementary school nurse has been arrested for alleged sexual abuse of a student.

On Friday, Dec. 21, police reported the arrest of Teddy Germain, who was employed as a licensed practical nurse in the district’s elementary schools.

The district  alerted police immediately after learning of the allegation and immediately placed Germain on administrative leave. He is no longer employed by the district.

“The district is extremely disturbed about the nature of these allegations,” Superintendent David Halloran said. “We will continue to assist police in any way we can. Anyone with concerns should contact Gloversville Police.”

As this is a police investigation, the district cannot comment further.
