GHS Class of 2021 launches shoe drive

Shoe collection to raise money for Prom/Senior Trip

The GHS Class of 2021 is conducting a shoe collection drive from Sept. 24-through Nov. 16 to raise funds for its prom and senior trip. The Class of 2021 organization will earn funds based on the number of pairs collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated goods. Those dollars will benefit the Class of 2021. Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used or new shoes at Gloversville High School.

Funds2Orgs helps impoverished people start, maintain and grow businesses in countries such as Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa. Proceeds from the shoe sales are used to feed, clothe and house families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send to her son to law school.

By donating shoes to the Class of 2021, the shoes will be given a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives.

**Shoe donations will support micro-enterprises in developing nations and also reduce waste going into landfills.**
