GHS, GMS students may opt for city transit to school

Effective immediately, GESD middle and high school students may ride city buses to school in the mornings free of charge.

Pick up is available at the following four locations around the city, at the times listed below:

  1. Bloomingdale/Kingsboro 6:15 a.m., 7:15 a.m., 8:15 a.m.
  2. East Blvd/Prospect 6:22 a.m., 7:22 a.m., 8:22 a.m.
  3. North Blvd/ Kingsboro 6:30 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m.
  4. Easterly/State St. 6:47 a.m., 7:47 a.m., 8:47 a.m.

Drop off will be at the base of the school hill on Lincoln Street. When deciding which bus to take in the morning,  students should keep in mind the time it will take them to walk up the hill to school and be on time for the start of classes. All bus rides will be 30 minutes or less to the Lincoln Street drop-off location.
