Three students from Kari Laubscher’s art classes have had work selected to be featured in 27th annual FMCC Juried Regional High School Art Show.

The show is open to all schools within a 50-mile radius of FMCC. Each school is allowed to submit up to 40 images, with a limit of 2 per student in any medium.

This year, three Gloversville High School students had work selected, with a total of four pieces  being selected for display. They are:

  • Brooke Dutcher (9th) — Plaster Sculpture, “Man”
  • Simone Hunt (12th) — Mixed Media collage, “Silhouette”
  • Isabella Hays (10th) — Ink, “Portrait” and Chalk Pastel, “Felix”

The exhibition will be at the Perella Gallery at Fulton-Montgomery Community College from April 5-17.

The artworks will be adjudicated by a professional artist, with the top works being selected for display. There will be five Juror’s Choice awards (each to receive $100), two Honorable Mention awards ($50 each) and a People’s Choice Award ($50 each).

An awards ceremony will be held on the closing night of the show, Wednesday, April 17, from 7 – 8:30 p.m.
