About Kingsborough Elementary

Kingsborough Elementary School is located at 24 W. Eleventh Avenue in the City of Gloversville.

In 2017, the Gloversville Enlarged School District Board of Education voted to reconfigure the district’s elementary schools to a model that includes neighborhood schools and grade-level grouping. Kingsborough was designated a primary school and now serves approximately 260 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 2.

The programs at Kingsborough Elementary School are designed to develop student confidence as learners, instill a love of learning and develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for students to communicate effectively, understand the world around them and participate effectively in a democratic society. Students also learn character education through Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) where four core district-wide expectations (“Be Respectful”, “Be Responsible”, “Be There, Be Ready” and “Follow Directions”) are taught, practiced and modeled in all areas of school life.

Kingsborough Elementary School welcomes parents to share their interest and skills with the school community by joining the Elementary Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and volunteering in the classroom and during school events.  Interested parents are asked to contact the school principal or their child’s classroom teacher.
