Activities and Clubs

Research shows that students who are involved in school activities are academically more successful. Participation allows students and teachers to interact on a more personal level than the classroom allows.

Teen Town

Teen Town is for all Gloversville Middle School students who meet the criteria of the event. The criteria and list of eligible students are released prior to the event. The goal is to provide a safe, fun, atmosphere for students to get together socially. It is held on select Friday nights and offers food, a DJ, and activities such as basketball.

Only students presently attending Gloversville Middle School will be admitted to Teen Town. Teen Towns are scheduled periodically during the school year, dates and times to be announced. Students may not leave the building during that time unless accompanied by a parent. No student arriving more than 30 minutes after the start time will be admitted unless a note is brought from home. Any chaperone, with permission from the school administrator, may turn away or eject a student displaying inappropriate or disorderly conduct. Parents will be contacted and the students will not be allowed to attend Teen Town for the rest of the year. Students who are suspended or who are absent the day of a Teen Town function are not allowed to attend.
