Shelter in place drill

22 November 2019

Dear Parents and Guardians:

This morning, working in conjunction with the Gloversville Police Department and the New York State Police, we conducted a shelter in place drill at Gloversville Middle School and Gloversville High School during each of the shelter in place drills, officers from the Gloversville Police Department and New York State Police K-9 units conducted a sweep of the buildings.
This annual training exercise provides an opportunity to practice an essential safety drill while supporting the training needs of our local and state law enforcement agencies. Practicing safety drills is an important
part of our efforts to keep the students and staff as safe as possible in the event of an actual emergency. Thank you to the Gloversville Police Department and the New York State Police K-9 Units in taking this
opportunity to work with the Gloversville Enlarged School District and for their dedication to protect and to serve our community.

Sincerely,

James Wager
Assistant Superintendent
Gloversville Enlarged School District
