Super Attendance Spirit Week: Be an Attendance HERO

Dear Parents,

We are kicking off a school wide program to help improve attendance and tardies.

Our attendance slogan is “Be an Attendance Hero.” Our goal is to bring awareness to the link between attendance and student achievement. The program is intended to help boost attendance at a school wide level.

Research shows that missing 10% of school, or about 18 days in most school districts, negatively affects a student’s academic performance. That’s just two days a month and is known as chronic absence.

When students improve their attendance rates, they improve their academic prospects and chances for graduating.

We look forward to partnering with you as Attendance Heroes and ensuring that our students are here, everyday, ready and on-time.

And we look forward to everyone showing some school spirit during Super Attendance Spirit Week -March 18-22.

Monday: Superhero Day!– Be a superhero and come to
school everyday, ready and on time! Wear your favorite
superhero shirt!

Tuesday: Dress like your favorite attendance hero,
Mr. DiPasquale

Wednesday: Cape Day – You are “capable” of coming to
school everyday on time- wear a creative cape!

Thursday: Sock it to Absences– wear crazy socks to
school!

Thank you,
