Third graders share the gift of warm pajamas and bedtime stories with local children in need

Third graders at Boulevard Elementary School participated in a Pajama and Book Drive for local children in need this holiday season.

Partnering with the Pajama Program and Scholastic, third-grade classes collected close to 50 pairs of pajamas and more than 60 books for the drive.

“We couldn’t be more proud of the generosity of our third graders and their families,” said grade 3 teacher Erin Fioretti.

What is the Scholastic Pajama Drive program?

The Pajama Program offers at-risk children the unconditional, magical gifts of pajamas and books so that they can enjoy the greatest benefit of a loving bedtime and peaceful good night: a fulfilling good day.

Since 2009, classrooms across the nation have collected and donated over 600,000 pajamas to at-risk children through the Pajama Program, and Scholastic Book Clubs has matched that number by donating nearly one million books.
