Position: stock clerk in School Food-Service Department 

Start Date:    Nov 13, 2019
Locations: Gloversville Enlarged School District Gloversville NY, 12078
Hours:    8 hours a day
Salary:    In accordance with the current negotiated agreement between the District and the Cafeteria Personnel Unit.

Typical Work Duties:   

  • Keeps inventory & records of food stock and kitchen supplies on hand.  

  • Inspects & stores supplies & equipment received and makes reports as required.

  • Receives and fills requisitions for supplies and equipment quantities: 

  • Delivers prepared foods & food stock supplies to various school buildings.

  • Good knowledge of operating equipment & appliances.

  • May perform routine building cleaning tasks and/or food service duties necessary. 

  • Should be able to follow oral, written & arithmetic directions.

  • The job also requires the candidate to take the civil service test & score in the top three.

  • The job requires a valid driver’s license, reliable attendance, long periods of standing and the ability to lift 60 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and/or equivalency diploma, or high school individual education plan. One year of experience in the receiving, storing and distributions of supplies & equipment.
