VOTER ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to vote, a person must be 18 years old by the date of the school budget vote or capital project referendum, a U.S. Citizen, a resident of the Gloversville Enlarged School District for at least 30 days prior to the vote date, and a registered voter.

VOTER REGISTRATION

Residents may register to vote at the County Board of Elections.

To vote on the school budget or a capital project referendum, this completed form must be delivered to the county board of elections by 14 days before the vote. If you live in Fulton County, the Voter Registration Form should be mailed to the following address: 2714 St. Hwy 29, Ste. 1, Johnstown, NY 12095

ABSENTEE BALLOTS

Absentee ballots are available to anyone who will be out of the area for work, school or vacation; hospitalized; permanently disabled, or confined to home due to illness. Contact Cathy Meher at 518-775-5706 for more information.

Absentee ballot applications must be returned to the district clerk at least seven days before the vote if the absentee ballot is to be mailed to the voter or at least one day before the vote if the ballot is to be picked up in person. All absentee ballots are due by 5 p.m. on the day of the vote.

ANNUAL SCHOOL BUDGET VOTE AND BOARD ELECTIONS

On the third Tuesday of each May, residents in New York state head to the polls to vote on the following year’s school district budget and to elect members of the Board of Education.

Voting on the 2019-20 school budget and any Gloversville Board of Education candidates will take place on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Gloversville High School and the Bleecker Town Hall.
