Today, members of the Gloversville Middle School Junior National Honor Society as well as Huskies Football captain Charles Pettit attended proceedings at the county courthouse regarding the proposed transfer station near our middle and high school campus. Joined by Principal Heiser, Superintendent Halloran, and Assistant Superintendent Wojeski, our scholars formally addressed county officials to share their concerns about the project's proximity to our school grounds.
Civic engagement is a key component of leadership. Seeing our middle school scholars prepare their statements, step up to the microphone, and directly participate in local governance is a strong reminder of the importance of community advocacy. Their thoughtful preparation and poise reflected the best of our district.

Today, the Gloversville Educational School District community pauses to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
On this 25th anniversary, we reflect on the courage of the first responders, the resilience of our nation, and the strength found in unity. May we continue to teach our scholars the values of compassion, service, and community that arose from that solemn day.

It is with profound sadness that the Gloversville Enlarged School District announces the passing of our dedicated Buildings and Grounds team member, Zachary Morrison, following a tragic workplace accident.
Our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers are with Zachary’s family-including his mother Rebecca, stepfather James, fiancé Jessica, son Jakob, and brothers Brian and Patrick-as well as his friends and colleagues during this devastating time.

To ensure every ride is safe and comfortable for both passengers and drivers, please remember our onboard guidelines:
🚫 Keep it clean: No eating, drinking, or smoking/vaping on the bus.
🎧 Keep it safe: Loud noise, foul language, and disruptive behavior can distract our drivers. Please keep volume down and conversations respectful.
🚌 Respect the ride: Riding Gloversville Transit is a privilege. To protect everyone's safety, riders who choose not to follow these rules will be asked to leave the bus immediately.
