Gloversville Middle School will host 6th Grade Orientation on Wednesday, September 2, from 3:00–5:00 PM.
Families and incoming 6th-grade scholars should begin in the GMS Auditorium, where they will then be released to the 6th Grade Pod. This is a great opportunity to meet teachers, practice using lockers, and help scholars get comfortable in their new school.

Record-Breaking Day of Community Pride & Support! ❤️🎒
What an incredible afternoon. Today’s 10th Annual GESD Backpack Giveaway completely blew us away-we officially gave out more backpacks today than in any other year of running this event!
Walking around Boulevard Elementary, seeing our scholars getting fresh haircuts, families grabbing food, and our community partners coming together under one roof was a real reminder of why Gloversville is so special. When our families needed a hand, our neighbors, businesses, and staff didn't hesitate to step up and make sure every single child walked away ready to succeed. It takes a true team effort to pull this off, and our entire community showed up with so much heart today.
We want to extend a massive thank you to all the hands on deck, from our tireless volunteers to our dedicated staff, for bringing the energy and making this day run so smoothly.
We are also incredibly grateful to the sponsors who stepped up to make this possible:
