Meet Officer Brown — One of GESD’s Dedicated School Resource Officers 👮♂️
Originally from the 518 area, Officer Brown has been serving as a police officer for nine years and has spent the last three years with the Gloversville Enlarged School District. Each day, he works to keep our schools safe, build strong relationships with scholars and staff, and lend a hand at school events — always finding ways to support our community.
He shared that one of the most rewarding parts of his job is “walking into school and seeing scholars happy and excited to see me.” The bonds and trust he’s built over time continue to make his work both meaningful and impactful.
As one of GESD’s School Resource Officers, Officer Brown plays an important role in protecting, connecting, and inspiring scholars each and every day.
Thank you, Officer Brown, for keeping our GESD Community safe!

The Lady Dragons had an unforgettable night celebrating the people who make this program so special.
💙 Teacher Recognition Night – Each Lady Dragon chose the educator who has inspired them the most and walked out with them before the game. The support and encouragement from our teachers means the world, both on the field and in the classroom.
❤️ Youth Soccer Appreciation Night – Our youth soccer girls joined the team on the turf, meeting their role models and sharing in the excitement under the lights. Their energy and smiles showed just how strong the future of Lady Dragon soccer will be!
It was a night of gratitude, inspiration, and community — from the teachers who guide us to the younger players who will carry the game forward.
Go Lady Dragons! 🔥⚽

💥 Our GMS scholars welcomed special guest Tay Fisher – former Harlem Globetrotter, Siena College graduate who helped lead the Saints to the NCAA Tournament, and now an inspiring motivational speaker – to Gloversville Middle School today!
Tay brought incredible energy as he shared his story of perseverance, dedication, and positivity, along with a powerful message about anti-bullying and kindness. His message was a perfect fit with our GMS mantra for the year: “Right Here, Right Now” – focusing on being our best in the present moment.
Our scholars connected with him right away and left the assembly inspired to lift others up and keep working hard toward their goals. 🙌
(2/2)🌟 Growth Mindset in Action! 🌟
Our middle school scholars have been hard at work creating Growth Mindset Posters — and the final products are inspiring✏️
Guided by Mr. Sayward, scholars showcased their creativity while highlighting the power of perseverance, positivity, and never giving up. 💪
We’re so proud of the effort and thought our scholars put into these projects. Their posters are a great reminder that with the right mindset, anything is possible! 🙌💡
