🎨🙂 Celebrating World Smile Day at GMS! Our talented Digital Media Arts scholars have put their creativity on display by digitally crafting their own emojis, inspired by iconic artists like Harvey Ball and Shigetaka Kurita. As part of their unit on Visual Storytelling, they've produced over 100 unique emoji stickers.
Join us in spreading smiles! All GMS scholars and staff wore yellow and shared smiley stickers today. Don't miss the vibrant display of these original designs at GMS.
Fun Fact: Harvey Ball created the first smiley face in 1963, a symbol of good cheer now celebrated globally on World Smile Day, October 4th. This design later influenced Kurita, who in 1992 designed the first emoji, marking a major milestone in digital expression. #WorldSmileDay #GMSDigitalMediaArts 🌟😄
