🎉 December Scholar Spotlight at Kingsborough! 🎉
We kicked off the morning celebrating our incredible Kingsborough scholars and all the effort they’ve put in this month. From curiosity in the classroom to positive leadership with their peers, these students continue to make us proud.
This month brought something exciting — a three-way tie for our MVC (Most Valuable Class), with Gym, Art, and Music each recognizing outstanding student achievement. Our specials teams were blown away by the hard work and enthusiasm on display!
We also gave a shout-out to our Strive for 5 scholars, who earned their way into this month’s attenDANCE and had a blast celebrating their dedication to education!
Congratulations to all of our December Scholar Award recipients. Your dedication and spirit make Kingsborough such a special place to learn and grow. Keep it up, scholars! ❤️🖤

Gloversville community members are invited to a brief and informative overview of the district’s proposed $40 million capital project on Monday, December 8 at 6 PM in the Board of Education Room.
Superintendent Halloran will walk through what’s included in the proposal, such as:
• Upgrades to Husky Field, including turf installation and added event parking
• Safety and traffic improvements at Park Terrace, featuring a redesigned bus loop and student drop-off zone
• New boilers across the district
• A new roof for the Middle School
• A new ADA-compliant main entrance and bus zone at Boulevard
The potential project would be funded through existing district reserves and state aid, meaning no additional cost to local taxpayers.
If you’re looking for a clear, easy-to-understand rundown of the plan before the December 9 vote, this session is a perfect chance to learn more and ask questions.

Tomorrow, December 4, from 5:00–7:00 PM, stop by McDonald’s at 220 Fifth Ave Extension in Gloversville to grab dinner and support a great cause.
During the event, 20% of all proceeds will be donated to the Glove City Coalition, helping advance their mission to prevent youth substance abuse and strengthen our Gloversville community.

Thanksgiving Dinner Food Drive Distribution 🧡🦃
Today at Mt. Carmel Church, our community educator LaShawn Hawkins teamed up with our amazing community volunteers to distribute Thanksgiving dinner essentials to families across Gloversville Enlarged School District. Thanks to their hard work — along with the support of 44 Lakes, EmpowHERing Designs, our community partners, and the Gloversville Police Department who joined in to help prepare meals — over 500 dinners will be on the tables of community families tomorrow for the big day.
A heartfelt thank-you to our GMS and Boulevard food service workers for preparing all the turkeys, and to everyone who came together to make tomorrow a little brighter, warmer, and fuller for our families.

Designed to highlight the dangers of vaping and its short- and long-term impacts, this unique event puts our scholars and community at the center of real-time decision-making around healthy choices.

Today, our Kingsborough young scholars spent the morning with some special four-legged visitors from Good Choice Dog Training! 🐶
Our scholars loved watching the dogs in action as they ran through agility courses and showed off their impressive training. It was a fun, hands-on way to see how practice and patience lead to great results!
