Wearing Yellow for Childhood Cancer Awareness 💛✨
Today, Boulevard Elementary wore yellow in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Every yellow shirt, ribbon, and accessory represents the brave children and families affected by pediatric cancer. Each year, children are diagnosed and begin a difficult fight that no child should ever have to face.
This cause is especially meaningful to Boulevard’s own Ms. Brennan and her family because of her daughter, Ella, who was diagnosed with pediatric cancer last November. Since that moment, childhood cancer has taken on a whole new meaning for them. They have experienced firsthand the fear, uncertainty, strength, and courage that come with a diagnosis like this. Ella has shown everyone what true bravery looks like, and she inspires our entire school community every single day.
By wearing yellow today, Boulevard is showing Ella and every child and family affected by childhood cancer that they are seen, supported, and never alone. We wear yellow to honor the children who are fighting, remember those we have lost, and celebrate the strength and courage of childhood cancer survivors.

On this 25th anniversary, we reflect on the courage of the first responders, the resilience of our nation, and the strength found in unity. May we continue to teach our scholars the values of compassion, service, and community that arose from that solemn day.
