
Ms.Douglas did a great end-of-unit project for our CKLA unit on Early Civilizations. These 5th-grade scholars put a lot of thought and energy into their Codex Project!


On December 6th the Glove City Youth Coalition is hosting a "Family Game Night" in the GMS Cafeteria from 6-8 pm. It is open to all Gloversville Scholar Families.


GESD families are encouraged to apply to have your children sponsored by a donor for the holiday. If accepted, families will be asked to provide a wish list for each child within their household this holiday season.

In efforts to help keep students warm and to increase attendance during
the cold months, each school’s main office will be collecting NEW winter
coats until Nov 30th!

Scholars at Boulevard have been able to learn about and experience an activity called Gaga ball. Gaga ball is multicultural activity that has gained in popularity over the years and is played by children of all ages around the world. Here are Mrs. Vannostrand’s 3rd grade class, Mrs. Rossi’s 4th grade class and Miss Rivers’ 5th grade class enjoying the activity in Boulevard's new GaGa pit.

During Boulevard's open house, students were encouraged to draw costume ideas for Mr. D and Mr. Bye. Then the school voted on what they should actually be. The winners: donut and ice coffee!!

National Junior Honor Society is collecting socks to donate to the homeless shelter and the Cops n' Kicks for Kids program. New socks will be accepted at the GMS main office, the GMS health office, and the GMS library until Nov 3rd.

The Glove City Youth Coalition would like to invite you to help celebrate Red Ribbon Week by wearing red on Monday, October 30th. This year’s theme is “Be Kind To Your Mind, Live Drug Free”.


Mrs. Fagel's class did a fun science experiment. They learned about kinetic and potential energy by using the swings on the playground as pendulums!

Fourth grade students in library are learning how computers work by building robotic models with Cubelets!
Next week they will use the engineering process to complete robot design challenges!






The scholars in Mrs. VanNostrand’s 3rd-grade class celebrated the end of their first CKLA unit by having a picnic in their classroom. They have been reading “The Wind in the Willows” and enjoying reading about Mole and Rat and their friendship starting picnic.
