GHS Community Connections are spending much of their day at Prospect Cemetery, stepping up and lending a helping hand right here in our community! From cleaning gravestones and picking up litter to helping keep the grounds clean and cared for, our scholars are doing their part to make a difference.
Taking the time to care for places like Prospect Cemetery helps preserve our community’s history while showing respect for those who came before us and helped shape the community we call home today. We’re proud to see our scholars stepping up as role models for their fellow scholars and the greater GESD community! ❤️🤍

The line stretched past the hill, costumes were out in full force, and our GESD Community showed up BIG! From the creatively decorated trunks to the candy, laughs, and Halloween costumes, it was awesome seeing so many families come together for a night of fun.
A huge shoutout to our GHS Key Club for keeping this tradition going and helping it grow bigger and bigger each year! Thank you to our scholars, faculty, staff, volunteers, and community partners who helped make it all happen.

Scholars in Mr. Muhlberger’s Transportation Systems class put their engineering skills to the ultimate test during their highly anticipated rocket launch project!
The challenge called for serious precision: build a functional rocket, integrate a reliable parachute recovery system, and safely transport a raw "egg-stronaut" passenger up into the air and back down intact. Scholars calculated parachute drag, designed shock-absorbing landers, and fine-tuned their builds through live trial and error to ensure a zero-crack landing. 🥚🪂

Gloversville City Hall was overflowing with pride last night as our community gathered to celebrate Miss New York’s Teen, Lucy Esler! Mayor Gary J. Antonucci and the Common Council officially recognized the Gloversville High School junior for her incredible accomplishments and for representing our city and state on the national stage at the Miss America’s Teen Competition.
During the presentation, Mayor Antonucci awarded Lucy an official Certificate of Achievement. In an extra special tribute, the City also unveiled commemorative street signs in her honor, which will soon welcome visitors at entrances across Gloversville! 🚗✨
Moments like this showcase the incredible talent, heart, and dedication thriving within our schools. Our GHS Readers spent a fantastic morning at Park Terrace Elementary! High school scholars stopped by our Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms to read stories, color together, and spend quality time with our youngest scholars.
We are so excited to continue these monthly visits to continuously bridge the gap and build strong connections across our district buildings.
