With this grant, the Gloversville High School Library was able to purchase a brand-new Cricut Explore 5 machine-and our creative scholars got to work right away! In fact, if you look closely at the back of the photo, you can see the very first label they designed and crafted. 💻🛠️

Making memories to last a lifetime! 🎓✨

The GHS Class of 2026 took on Pennsylvania this past weekend for the ultimate Senior Trip! Our seniors explored the underground wonders of Indian Echo Caverns, tackled the biggest coasters at Hershey Park, and hung out with the animals at ZooAmerica. 🎢🐻🗺️

Safe to say, it was a weekend full of laughs, thrills, and unforgettable moments. One step closer to graduation, but first-celebrating how far we’ve come together! ❤️

🎮 From GESD to Game Designer: Jillian Christiano speaks to GESD Scholars!
Today, our scholars had the incredible opportunity to hear from one of our very own! GESD alum Jillian Christiano, now a Video Game Designer at Wolfjaw Studios, joined us for Career Day to share her journey into the gaming industry.

Jillian has worked on major title releases that our scholars know and love, including:

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 🛹

She gave our scholars an inside look at what it takes to build a career in video game design, the importance of collaboration and creativity, and how her roots right here in our district helped pave the way.

🏛️ Learning government by experiencing it firsthand!

Scholars from Mr. Kremler’s, Mr. Best’s, and Mrs. Miller’s Participation in Government classes recently toured the New York State Capitol, where they explored the history and inner workings of New York State government. During their visit, they also had the opportunity to meet with Robert Smullen and learn more about the NYS Legislative Branch and the role elected officials play in serving their communities.

Experiences like this bring classroom learning to life and help prepare our scholars to become informed, engaged citizens!

We had a great morning at GHS as we welcomed Michael from Fulton County Barbershop for Career Day. He gave our scholars an inside look at the barbering industry, sharing exactly what it takes to run a successful business.

The highlight? Michael gave a live haircut demonstration, walking our scholars through the process step-by-step and sharing professional tips you can't find in a textbook. 📖✨
