Yesterday, seniors from Ms. Miller’s, Mr. Best’s, and Mr. Kremler’s classes had the opportunity to tour the New York State Capitol in Albany! 🏛️
Our scholars explored the historic Million Dollar Staircase, were welcomed onto the Assembly Chamber floor by a few Assemblymen and took in the incredible view of the Empire State Plaza from the Corning Observation Deck.
It was a memorable day for our seniors, filled with learning, exploration, and pride in seeing our state’s history up close!

Meet Officer Brown — One of GESD’s Dedicated School Resource Officers 👮♂️
Originally from the 518 area, Officer Brown has been serving as a police officer for nine years and has spent the last three years with the Gloversville Enlarged School District. Each day, he works to keep our schools safe, build strong relationships with scholars and staff, and lend a hand at school events — always finding ways to support our community.
He shared that one of the most rewarding parts of his job is “walking into school and seeing scholars happy and excited to see me.” The bonds and trust he’s built over time continue to make his work both meaningful and impactful.
As one of GESD’s School Resource Officers, Officer Brown plays an important role in protecting, connecting, and inspiring scholars each and every day.
Thank you, Officer Brown, for keeping our GESD Community safe!
