The GMS Drama Club scholars who worked on the annual school musical attended a matinee performance of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at Cohoes Music Hall. The scholars enjoyed the show and demonstrated appropriate theatre etiquette. Way to go!

Scholars in Mr. Farina's Construction Systems class built a shed, which was delivered to a very happy local homeowner. Amazing work!


The first Culinary Club met tonight and made Chicken Crescent Rollups. The Culinary Club is run by Mrs. Romeyn & Mrs. Javarone. Mr. Cooper, Mr. Walker, and Mrs. VanAlstyne, all were great helpers today!





Members of the GHS Band performed holiday songs at the Nathan Littauer Auxiliary's Tree of Lights Ceremony on Friday, December 1st.

Mrs. VanNostrand and Ms. Walker’s 3rd-grade class at Boulevard recently wrapped up a CKLA unit on the human body and skeletal systems. Scholars became surgeons for the afternoon and rotated through surgery stations showing off their skills learned throughout the unit.











Our Auto Tech class visited Boyd's Motor Works. The owner, Mr. Boyd, took time out of his day to give us a tour of his facility. Our scholars learned that a business such as Mr. Boyd's is extremely dedicated to the quality and craftsmanship of his business's product.






Scholars in Ms. Hazzard’s chemistry class conducted a flame test lab; exploring energy transitions of electrons with thermal energy.





Fourth graders in Ms. Kane's classroom took some time to reflect on all they were thankful for. We wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

The Outdoor Club hiked LeVine Preserve on Wednesday 11/15. Corina Denier, Willow Rorick, and Davian Williamson joined moderators, Ms. Leahy and Mr. Wright.

Ms.Douglas did a great end-of-unit project for our CKLA unit on Early Civilizations. These 5th-grade scholars put a lot of thought and energy into their Codex Project!


On December 6th the Glove City Youth Coalition is hosting a "Family Game Night" in the GMS Cafeteria from 6-8 pm. It is open to all Gloversville Scholar Families.


GESD families are encouraged to apply to have your children sponsored by a donor for the holiday. If accepted, families will be asked to provide a wish list for each child within their household this holiday season.
