BLVD Elementary PTA Hosts Heartwarming Community Event! 🐻🎉
This past Saturday, the PTA at BLVD Elementary hosted "Animaland," a magical event that brought together hundreds of families for an unforgettable afternoon of creativity and fun! From 1 - 3 PM, scholars had the chance to build their own stuffed animals and then visit interactive stations, including a Vet Shop, Clothing Station, Grooming Station, and more, where they learned how to care for their new furry friends.
Originally planned as a fundraiser, the PTA made the heartfelt decision to cut costs and turn it into a fully inclusive community event. The result? An incredible day filled with laughter, learning, and lasting memories! 💙
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this event possible—volunteers, organizers, and all the families who attended. This is what community is all about! 💕🐾

🖤✨ Celebrating Black History Month at Kingsborough! ✨🖤
Throughout the month of February, Kingsborough scholars came together in the library to honor and learn about Black History Month! 📚✨
As a school, we created a Black History Month quilt, showcasing influential African Americans throughout history. This collaborative project allowed scholars to work together, reflect on important figures, and commemorate the rich history that shapes our world today.
Amazing job, Kingsborough scholars! Your dedication and teamwork truly brought this project to life. 👏🎉

📚✨ Hard at Work in ELA 10! ✨📚
Check out this amazing group of scholars in my ELA 10 class! They are deeply engaged in close reading of Animal Farm by George Orwell, following along with the audiobook while taking detailed notes. 📝🎧
This classic allegorical novel, which parallels the Russian Revolution, is sparking great discussions about power, corruption, and society. Their hard work will soon lead to an exciting propaganda project and a breakout box activity in the school library! 🔍💡
