🐄🥛 Today in kindergarten, our learning adventure took us to the farm! As part of our CKLA Knowledge unit on Farms, we talked all about cows, exploring where milk and other dairy products come from, and how farmers take care of their herds.
We even had a hands-on experience pretending to milk our own cows! It was a fun and educational way to connect with the life of a farm. The kids loved learning how their favorite dairy treats start their journey!

Today, our second-grade class had a special visit from Ms. Hazzard and her fascinating snake, Tallulah! They read us two wonderful books—one non-fiction book that taught us all about snakes, and a captivating fiction story. Our class thoroughly enjoyed welcoming them into our classroom and learning from these engaging readings. A huge thank you to Ms. Hazzard for making our day extra special!

Exciting news from Mrs. Stryjek's 5th grade ELA WIN group! The scholars have just completed their novel study of "Out of My Mind" by Sharon Draper. They've been diving deep into the themes of the book through independent discussions and student-led learning. To celebrate their hard work and achievements, they enjoyed a special viewing of the new Disney movie adaptation of the book. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to compare and contrast the novel with its movie version. Great job, everyone!

🎨📚 7th Grade Cross Curricular Project: Digital Media Arts 📚🎨
Our 7th graders recently completed a project-based learning activity around Ghost by Jason Reynolds. They started in ELA, analyzing the novel and writing summaries with Mr. Rhors and Mrs. Hallenbeck. 📖 At the media center, they researched book cover design with Mrs. Lindsay, 🎨 and in digital media arts, Mrs. Meyer guided them in applying composition, color theory, and digital tools to redesign Ghost's book jacket, concentrating on typography and layout.
Scholars showcased critical thinking, creativity, and real-world design skills, producing stunning reimagined book jackets. These are now displayed at Gloversville Middle School, highlighting the power of project-based learning in fostering academic and artistic growth. 🌟 #ProjectBasedLearning #EnglishLanguageArts #DigitalMediaArts #GhostByJasonReynolds #GraphicDesign #21stCenturySkills #CreativeCareers
