Boulevard Elementary School Strengthens Partnership with Gloversville Public Library Through Engaging Third-Grade Field Trip
Third-grade students from Boulevard Elementary School recently participated in an enriching field trip to the Gloversville Public Library, reinforcing a strong partnership focused on literacy, learning, and community collaboration.
During the visit, students embarked on a guided tour of the library, gaining insight into its vast collection of books, digital resources, and community programs. The experience also included a special storytime session, where students engaged in the joy of storytelling. Additionally, each student had the opportunity to receive a temporary library card, allowing them to explore and check out materials to continue their reading journey beyond the classroom.
This collaboration between Boulevard Elementary School and the Gloversville Public Library underscores a shared commitment to fostering literacy and providing students with meaningful educational experiences. Through these partnerships, students gain access to valuable resources that support their academic growth and encourage a lifelong love of reading.
“We are incredibly grateful for the continued partnership with the Gloversville Public Library,” said Brian DiPasquale, Principal of Boulevard Elementary School. “This field trip was a fantastic opportunity for our students to connect with the library, develop their literacy skills, and see firsthand the resources available to them in their own community.”
Boulevard Elementary School looks forward to continuing this collaboration, ensuring that students have the tools, experiences, and support needed to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Exploring History Through a Living Statue Museum! 🏛️✨
Scholars in Mrs. VanAlstyne’s 8:1:1 6th, 7th, and 8th grade class have been diving into the world of Ancient Egypt and influential figures of the 1920s and 30s! As part of their research, they’ve been learning to create slide shows, incorporate resources, and add transitions to their presentations.
To bring history to life, each scholar chose a god or influential person and portrayed them in a Living Statue Museum on Friday, March 14th in the Gloversville Middle School Auditorium. What an incredible way to step into the past! 🏺📜🎭

Our Gloversville Elementary PTA President Teresa,VP Alicia, and member Rebecca were busy sharing Gloversville Enlarged School District to members of the Senate and House for National Parent Teacher Association #LEGCON2025 's Hill Day!
PTA representatives from all around the country had a chance to lobby for the children in their community, making their voice heard in meetings that took place over the course of 8 hours. Teresa had a chance to speak about the needs of our school district for the offices of Senator Chuck Schumer D-NY and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand . Rebecca shared the same message with Rep. Elise Stefanik 's office. And we were able to sit in on a meeting with Paul D. Tonko.
An ENORMOUS thank you to Gloversville Public Library for giving our PTA a workspace for the entire day.
To quote Representative Paul D Tonko, "If we see this through the eyes of the children, we'll get it done right."
