Since 1987, CASDA and its community partners have hosted this program (formerly Scholars Recognition Awards) to honor the outstanding graduating seniors from high schools throughout the region. Recognized students are chosen by their schools on the basis of academic achievements, community service, and leadership to their schools or communities, or other unique accomplishments. Each nominated student then selects a teacher who has had a significant influence on their education.

Reminder for TOMORROW, Thursday, June 1, 2023, GHS will be administering the U.S. History and Government Regents. This assessment is one of the NYS graduation requirements with the examination date being set by the state. To ensure that we can meet the needs of the scholars taking this exam, we will not hold traditional classes on June 1. Only those scholars that are taking the U.S History and Government Regents will report to school on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Teachers and school counselors will communicate with those scholars that are required to sit for this exam. Transportation and food services will run as normal. Additionally, virtual regents review sessions will be offered for scholars not participating in the abovementioned examination on June 1. Teachers will communicate the times of these virtual sessions directly to scholars. This information pertains only to GHS scholars. Please contact the office if you have any questions,
