Students in Mrs. Wood's Speech classes worked hard this week creating fireflies for a Mother's Day craft to show appreciation for someone special to them. They were excited to make a gift for someone else and each one was beautiful!

This week at Park Terrace students received the “Ray and the Sunbeatables Coloring Book”. These coloring books are a part of the Sun Safety Curriculum which educates children, teachers and parents about sun protection and promotes sun safety behaviors. The program introduces superhero characters Ray and the Sunbeatables who travel around the world using their superpowers of sun protection. As warmer days approach, remember to be SUNBEATABLE by using sunscreen, playing in the shade and wearing protective clothing like sunglasses and wide brimmed hats!

Students in the Gloversville Elementary schools have been participating all month in the Read for Ronald McDonald House Charities program (Read for RMHC). RMHC-CR is an organization dedicated to supporting children and families, especially those struggling with childhood illnesses and injuries. They work to keep families together and close to the care that they need. Students were invited to join the Read for RMHC program, giving them the opportunity to volunteer their time to read and earn donations to support children and families in need in our community. Although we are in our last week it is not too late to donate! Please consider donating this week to help us reach our goals.
